[Fare Gone] Go to London $223 Round Trip
So if you hurry you might get this super cheap fare...
1. Go to http://www.priceline.com/
2. Do a multi-cty flight search ORD-IAD, IAD-LHR, LHR-ORD
3. Find the flights with UA/BMI and click to the next page
4. See the $223 fare (all taxes/fees inclusive)
-Travel is valid thru March '09
-Return stops thru IAD, so for our friends in the DC area, you just need a one way from WAS-ORD
-Good luck!
Edited to add:
So the fare was pulled. Actually, to be more precise, the fare still exists but the availability has been zeroed out. I'm sure UA/BMI and all of the travel websites involved have a lot to sort out. I looked at the fare calculation and saw that the actual flight only cost $47 and taxes $146. Nearly 100,000 visits (or more) were logged to all of the websites that listed references to the fare. Any way you look at it, someone has to eat the difference.
Speaking of eating - I need to eat my own words. I gave advice saying that one should be ready to pull the trigger when a great fare pops up. (Like I did for my MR in November.) This morning as Alexis and I were brainstorming about nine days in Paris, London, and Frankfurt for spring break '09 we worked out a nice itinerary for under $900 total. We then had to take Charlotte to see the pediatrician. When I got back to a computer...poof...it was gone. Oh well, you win some, you lose some, so next time first.
