Charlotte has been using Johnson's Lavender Baby Wash since she was born. We tried many other brands but because of her sensitive skin, this was the only one that worked well on her (no idea why, just is). I like the lavender smell, but I never really believed that it would actually help XX sleep better (as claimed on the bottle). However, I proved myself wrong.
One afternoon, Dave came home after studying to get ready to go to tutoring. I had 15 mins to take a shower before he took off again. I realize we were out of soap after I jumped into the shower so I used XX's lavender baby wash instead (not a big deal, right?! It's all soap.)
I got out of the shower and started playing with XX so that Dave could change for work. By the time he finished changing (about 5-10 min), I almost passed out on the coach; my eyelids were too heavy for me to bear. When Dave kissed me goodbye, I couldn't respond at all. It was bad!!!! I wasn't totally asleep because XX was still around but I couldn't move at all. Somehow, I managed to turn on Sesame Street for XX so that I could have an hour to rest, but I felt so bad afterward though. Even though my mind was awake the whole time (I could hear XX and the TV), my body was asleep. I know XX tried to wake me up so many times-- she sat on my head a few times, kept saying hi to me and asked me to play with her.
And it didn't just happen to me. I gave our friend Abbey a bottle of Johnson's Lavender Baby Oil to clean her baby's cradle cap and the same thing happened to her!
Johnson and Johnson should really put a warning label on their bottle: product may cause drowsiness.
